MURUGESAN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>NSS Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A NSS unit is functioning in the Institute from 1989 onwards consisting 100 volunteers from I year &amp; II year. Special Camp is conducted every year. So far 15 campus have been organized in the adopted areas.\u00a0<strong>(i) Injambakkam<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(ii) Karapakkam<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(iii) Thuraipakkam.<\/strong>\u00a0Regular activities are also conducted every year. The following NSS programmes were conducted in the special camps.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical Training to rural youth in screen printing and Book Binding<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Rain water harvesting<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Medical Camp<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>School building Renovation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Tree Plantation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Sports Competitions for School Students<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>It is a great pride to say that our students have been awarded as the\u00a0<strong>Best<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>NSS Volunteers in the year 2009,\u00a0 2010 &amp; 2011.<\/strong>\u00a0Our Institution has been selected and honored as the Best NSS unit &amp; Best NSS Programme Officer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME Programme Officer :\u00a0 Dr. T.
